Hi Whovians.
Actual fact Richard E. Grant portrayed the Doctor in a send up for charity as well as in voice form for an animated cartoon. So I think he should have a go if his cartoon image does not fit in with the so far TV incarnations. A subtle one would be Roger Daltry of The Who . He could then sing Talking About My Regeneration. On this note I think I had better sign off. Alan French. |

They wanted Bowie to play a villain in the mid-80s adventure The Caves of Androzani. Christopher Gable ended up doing it.
If there is to be a new Who soon I think Captain W's point about spending 9 months in Cardiff is the main one to consider, therefore he (or she!) isn't going to be that big. |

I liked Christopher Eccleston and I was sorry when he left. Now I just think the programme is over promoted (especially in the Radio Times) and I don't give two hoots who takes over.

Tennant has proven a fine successor, altho this latest series run is pretty mediocre and Tate's recruitment hasn't helped. |

Yes, 'cause he was saying what we all thought....
![]() The best sequences of that film - the most Avengerlike - were the training village and the teddy bears board meeting. I particularly liked the bit with the teds in the lifts. If he'd been better partnered, Fiennes might just about have squeaked past the post with Steed - Broadbent was a rather good Mother - but Thurman just gabbled her lines as if she was in a hurry to get the last train home. Some of her dialogue, delivered properly, with a little thought, a la Rigg, would also have passed muster, but she made it sound like gobbledegook. I am thinking particularly of the 'tick follows tock' sequence in the padded cell. We tuned into this on SKY recently and I found myself hearing the dialogue, as Rigg might have done it, in my head.
