Well said. I have some mixed feelings about the new series in general (it's often too chaotic for my tastes), but Tennant's performance is incredible--particularly in shows like "School Reunion," "The Girl In The Fireplace," "Human Nature/Family of Blood," etc.

Default Jon Pertwee 4 the Dr.

As a fan of approx 38 years, I could not resist responding to this thread. I think that most people find that their Doctor or favourite, is the one they grew up with. I had 5 glorious years watching the adventures of Doc 3, the late, great Jon Pertwee, who was the time lord from 1970 to 75. My interest wained when he left, and Tom Baker, in my opinion never came close. I never left the show though, and have watched all the subsequent Dr's, good, bad and ugly. Tennant is great for the kids, and that I guess is what the show should be about.

Default Favourite Doctor

My favourite is the first one I saw - William Hartnell. He was just amazing and I could well believe that his version of the Doctor was someone who came from another time...another place. It is great being able to see his adventures again on video and then DVD. It is just a shame that so many of his episodes no longer exist. There is only one Doctor WHo episode I have never seen and that his Assasin at Peking - and sadly it looks as if I will never see it now!
I have also seen William Hartnell is many of his film roles and he is definitely my all time favourite actor!

I listened to "Marco Polo," "Dalek Masterplan" and "The Savages" at work this week. Love Hartnell.

I doubt if it's the kids who have snapped up all the tickets for his RSC Hamlet and Love's Labour's Lost...
