Can you knowledgeable people recall a BBC 1 children's show from the 1970s... When Magnus M died in January 2007 most people of course remembered him for Mastermind....but I looked in vain for some coverage of a show which introduced him to me some years before the black chair made its debut.
It was about the world's mysteries - Loch Ness monster, the Kraken, Yeti, mermaids, etc. It was mildly spooky and very authentic...with Magnus's Scottish accent he came across like a young Private Frazer from Dad's Army and all but said in each episode "we're doomed"!
Can anyone remind what it was called, when it was on and did it run more than one series - I was a fan.

I remember the programme but cannot recall the title, it was my first encounter with Magnus, it may have pre dated Mastermind by a year or so.

I remember this fascinating historical series – it was called Unsolved Mysteries BBC TV 1974 superbly written and presented by Magnus Magnusson
