Default Helen a woman of today
Who remembers this thirteen part drama show on ITV on a Friday night, starring Alison Fiske and Matin Shaw.

Friday night on ITV was a magical night for drama for many years on this channel with other shows like Justice and Within These Walls.

Don't recall it that well, my main memory of it is that it was all a bit grim.

I was probably a bit too young for it at the time, but my parents watched it and so I must have done too. When I saw him a few years later in The Professionals I didn't remember Martin Shaw from this series at all.

Didn't do much for Alison Fiske's career - at least not on television. It was a few years after "Helen" before she appeared in anything else.

Yes, I remember it well. It also featured Sheila Gish (RIP), Robert Urquhart and Sharon Duce.

Very watchable and quite adventurous for its time.

After all these years I recognised Alison Fiske immediately when she appeared in "Cold Blood"
