A good, well made drama. They captured the feel of the period very well.
A shame that they signalled the way it would turn out with Tish from about 30 minutes into the film. But that really did happen fairly much as it was shown in the film. Great performances from Timothy Spall & Juliet Stevenson. We expect nothing less. But apart from their refusal to face up to what he was doing, they didn't really address any of the issues. A thought: Was Albert Pierrepoint the most prolific serial killer we've ever had in Britain? Steve |
