Default Ripping yarns

My favourite episodes from Michael Palins brilliant series were the pilot episode Tomkinsons School Days, Whinfreys last case, Golden Gordon and Eric Olthwaite the world most boring man.

I must admit that I was not so keen on some of the episiodes, Across the Andes By Frog, didnt appeal to me at all.

Some of the episodes had some Pythonesque moments but others were more gentle.

Neither Ripping Yarns or Eric Idles "Rutland Weekend Television," were quite the monster hit that Fawltey Towers was, but both shows were well received by the Python fans.

I enjoy these too, I have the DVD`s but havent watched them for a long time. Cant remember what it was called now but the one where he stays at a pub and we never really see the woman behind the bar, she is so small we just see bits of her really made me laugh.

I must watch them again, its been too long.

It is my dream to meet Michael Pallin.

xx

I met Michael Palin and Terry Jones in 1980 when they signed a copy of my Ripping Yarns books of scripts in a bookshop in Cardiff. Iwas a starstruck 20 year old Monty Python fan. They were staying at a hotel directly opposite the book shop and arrvied clutithing two pints of beer. They were my heroes still are.

Hope you do meet Micahel Palin some day, I love all the Python team but Palin and Jones are truly the nicest of the bunch.
