This memorable short film, shown on Channel 4 in August, 1988, deserves to be
repeated:


"It is summer, 1970. Jenny, shy, plain and overweight goes to live in a commune in a large riverside house.

"Although she wins the amused acceptance of the group, her only close friend is Tom, a 12 year old orphan who lives in the house with his older brother.

"Their relationship deepens over an idyllic summer on the river. But the summer can't last forever, and this atmospheric story has a tragic and unexpected twist.

"Girl falls out of boat with baby....story ends with young boy desperately trying to find them without success".
