Default Sapphire & Steel..have been assigned..

I'm toying with the idea of blowing a few beer tokens on the boxset..but.

From what I can remember it was a bit pants wasn't it?

I recall bits & pieces...they were there to repair tears in the fabric of space / time, investigate strange anomalies, restore some old photographs & generally hang about looking serious...right?

Does anyone own the set & rue the day they got the Mastercard out, or well worth it?

I've got the Sapphire and Steel set and it's aged very well. The first serial is a bit 'Sunday Teatime Childrens TV', but series becomes far more intriguing, dark and adult from then on. McCallum and Lumley are a fabulous pairing - this may well be the best work either has done for TV.

I must say, I've never heard this series, widely acknowledged as a classic of British telefantasy, ever described as pants before!

My brother got it for me last week. Haven't had chance to watch it yet but the notes
brought back a few memories.

"Oh! Pete!"
