Default Taking Over The Asylum

Having missed Taking Over The Asylum the first time it was broadcast I'm taking the opportunity to watch series on BBC4. However I'm intrigued to know whether the fake cover versions of Beatles songs were in the original version (in fact I'm certain episodes 1 & 2 were orignal versions) or is this something BBC have had to do so they could either re-broacast or release on DVD.

The cover versions were put on for overseas distribution and no real tracks were heard except in the UK. I think it's the guy who did the original incidental score - they are pretty good versions.

According to wiki it is
Quote:
Junior Campbell (born William Campbell, May 31, 1947, Glasgow, Scotland), is a Scottish composer and musician.

Founder member, lead guitarist, piano player, and singer with the Scottish band, The Marmalade.

Campbell is also known for co-composing the music and lyrics for the children's TV series, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends
Hmm. Thomas the Tank Engine.

I've gone right off him!

All men leak.

Junior Campbell also had a rather good solo hit in the 70s called 'Hallejuah Freedom'.

Happy Birthday Daddy .... I love you!

The whole series was up on YouTube a couple of months back (I watched the whole thing when I had the flu) and all the songs on that version were the originals.

I did enjoy it.
