Default Crimes of passion

Does anyonne remember a series called Crimes Of Passion on ITV in the seventies set in a French courtroom starring Anthony Newlands as the judge.

Yes, I remember it - I think the other two judges or advocates were played by Bernard Archard and Daniel Moynihan. I can see them now in their court regalia -
a black gown and white neckerchief of some sort (although I wasn't viewing in colour in those days!). I think they may have also worn a kind of French judicial hat in some scenes, too - maybe when passing sentence!

I distinctly recall Cyd Hayman and Gillian Blake of Follyfoot fame guest-starring in an episode each. Information on the series at the IMDB seems to be quite scant.

It was broadcast on Friday night and the show had an introduction each week along the lines that a crimes of passion verdict could held in French courts.

I remember that series as well and I preferred it to crown court, which I might add wasn't a bad series .
