Default Motorway Cops

Not sure if many caught this last night, it's another of those lazy-ass emergency services clips show voiced-over by a has-been, but this incident was quite staggering.

I saw it last night DB and couldn't believe what I was seeing What shocked me though was the two illegal imagrants picked up on the motorway ,being told how to get in touch with social services and then let go. what is this country coming too I ask.

You can't blame the police. Processing must take hours/days/weeks and they've better things to be doing - and the cells are overcrowded. Obviously the immigration service are stretched too.

What was the idea of that subtitle saying that contrary to appearances it was filmed in England? Was that on the broadcast programme or was it added by whoever put it on YouTube?

I was wondering if it was the most most sensible thing for the Cops to keep saying "We are the Police". Sometimes that will make people more determined to get away.

I noticed one of the cops looked a bit portly to be in the force.

I don't think they can afford to be fussy now!

I'm sure they aren't portly but, since, height restrictions were lifted, they're probably short for their height which gives the illusion that they are portly.

I hope that clears things up, Marky.

So I read elsewhere they were on PCP. The one was checked over and released the following day - and charged with assault. The other spent seven weeks in hospital.

I saw it last night, and it was really shocking as it came completely out of the blue.
On reflection, it seems to have been a suicide bid, wittingly or not, by the first girl, but I suspect it is regarded as a private matter by the police, so we will learn no more.
By the way, I take issue with Jamie Theakston being described as a 'has-been'.
In fact, Dungeon Jim as he prefers to be known, is a 'nobody'.
On the credit side, he has done a lot of work with ladies of the night, and not just in a showbiz, publicity-conscious manner.
No, our Jim has actually made a tangible difference to the lives of these ladies by making solid financial contributions from his own pocket.
Which of us can say that?

Steve, no, the subtitles were not on the programme itself. The reason they kept shouting we are the police was because the 2 women kept shouting for help and to for someone to get the police.
