It also used to show some great old films, including many of the CFF films.
But then it was rebranded for the Yoof market. It's sadly missed

Too true. I've just recently got one of those Freeview boxes and the amount of trash on is remarkable. In fact even the quality of the trash is starting to go downhill. I like the Freeview box for the fact that I get digital radio but oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Still it could be worse. I could be with Sky!!!

Time to keep your appointment with the Wicker Man...

In the mid-ninties Bravo showed:

UFO
The Prisoner
Department S
Jason King
Danger Man (25 and 50 mins)
Space 1999
Hammer House Of Horror
Randall & Hopkirk (I think)

And was working their way through Thriller and Strange Report when it was re-branded.

I really miss the old BRAVO. I always jump for joy when I find an old recording with the logo on.

Long gone TVS the commercial station for much of the South was a terrific source of “Ye Olde” telly back in the mid 80’s or so Randall & Hopkirk and The Mysteries of Edgar Wallace were among the gems broadcast in the wee small hours. I even recall they had guest interviewees, both Annette Andre and Kenneth Cope appeared.

You should check out the Digital Spy website forums. It's quite amazing how many Sky viewers seem to get genuinely excited by the prospect of yet another shopping channel or music station being added to the already dross-laden morass.

Yes indeed MoEW pity TVS lost the franchise to Meridian, mind you I doubt they would be showing this kind of stuff now Also a pity I probably had a Betamax video at that time

What with Freeview with us now it's amazing that someone does not realise there is a market for showing old classic TV series and films? Would have thought it would be cheap programming for them too.

Well, I for one would be happy to see one of if not ALL of the shopping channels go and be replaced by a channel showing some classic TV. I'd like to be reintroduced to the "Mysteries of Edgar Wallace", "Callan" and that sci-fi/supernatural series "Journey to the Unknown." The one with the turnstile, the deserted fairgound at night, the whistling and the spooky theme music. I want to see Edgar Lustgartenn again in "Scales of Justice" and Scotland Yard. In fact, there is too many to mention. I'd also like to see some old classic sci-fi like Quatermass, movies like "Invasion" and "The Night Caller." The problem is that of course that every channel has to scratch some sort of profit. I wouldn't have thought it would be that expensive though and it would keep me happy!!! Unfortunately, an IQ that barely reaches double figures and an interest in bling and porn seem to be the major requisites that most of the tv channels look for in their punters.
