Hi all,

I've just been playing a bit of Pentangle after not listening to them for many years. When the track "Light Flight" came on it got me to wondering about the BBC series "Take Three Girls" (for those that don't know "Light Flight" was the theme). Do any of the episodes still exist. From what I remember there was a follow up called "Take Three Women".

Cheers,
A

Ok - I'll take Julie Christie, Susan George and, naturally, Jenny Agutter.

Ah, memories... Take Three Girls was the series that introduced me to the delights of British drama, way back in 1969 when it was first shown here in Oz. When music CDs first became available in the early 1980's, one of the first I bought was a compilation of Pentangle's music, just so I could listen to "Light Flight" again.

There was indeed a follow-up series called Take Three Women, with the same three lead actresses, made in 1982, but unfortunately it either wasn't shown here or by some misfortune, I missed it.

I loved that series and wish it would appear on TV or DVD. Perhaps they would release Take Three Women. I taped that when it was last on but when I replayed it recently there are flashing lines running through it so it was unwatchable. Very sad. From what I did see I was surprised to find the actor who played Jim Carver in The Bill appearing in it. Must have been his first major TV role.

I was a real fan of Angela Down and wonder what she is doing now. She appeared in Kavanagh QC but it seems nothing before or after.
