Beautifully written, directed and written.
Edit: Beautifully written, directed and played.
Lesson - Never post when you're half-cut
I thought you just really liked the writing
But it was well played as well

No I've already donated it to a charity shop! Isn't that the worst thing for actors, writers and "celebs" to see their films and books sitting on a shelf in a charity shop or stacked in a plastic bread crate at a car boot sale? They've already made their money, but the sheer humiliation of it!

"...the chairman of Littlewoods stores made a Keynote speech!"

And yes, I'm aware that a lot are from the 80's, I think that was a particularly good time for UK TV.

Reilly Ace of Spies was one of my all time favourites, brilliant.
Sweeney
Minder
Rumpole
Between the Lines
Widows
Murder in Mind
Fabian of the Yard
Colonel March

All great series and probably loads more if I could think of them.

"To Serve Them All My Days" (1980)

I recall a young Nicholas Lyndhurst appearing as one of the schoolboys - although he would have been about 20 at the time.

A couple of years ago there was a radio version of this story broadcast on Radio 4.
