Dave.
Yes Dave, when HB starred in the sitcom Shelley and Tinker Tailor as Ricky Tarr he always looked very young indeed, he had not changed much since The Family Way. I saw him a few years back in Eastenders as some sort of gangster and later in The Quest with Roy Hudd and David Jason and he seemed to have jumped from looking a perpetual twentysomething in the mid 80s into sixtysomething in the late 90s! What happened inbetween?

Glad I found this thread as this was a series that I enjoyed immensely, I can always remember sitting down to watch this with the wife, kids tucked up in bed and us with a cup of tea waiting to see how the cards would fall for robbie this week.
With regard to the theme tune,I wouldn't say it was the best ever Roy,but it was certainly very catchy and did help to build the anticipation as to robbies defeat or victory.I seem to remember it was sung by one of the male members of Bucks Fizz (whose name escapes me) I've not checked the threads but would a new thread re: best tv theme music be in order? and if so could a poll be organised?

I May be getting older ,but I refuse to grow up

I don't know about that but he has been the voiceover of hundreds if not thousands of adverts for the last 40 odd years. If he's not on a par with Patrick Allen he must run him a close second.
