Funland, recently shown on BBC3, captured all that is good about British drama on tv. A fantastic plot and powerful characters, totally absorbing. Any comments?

I only caught a few of them (the first two, then a few in the middle and the last one).
"Fantastic" is certainly the word for the plot.
Very strange but interesting characters, as you'd expect with Jeremy Dyson as one of the writers.
Certainly different and quite interesting.

Caught one episode but sadly much of BBC3/4, ITV2/3/4 etc slips under my radar. Wouldn't be a bad idea if Sky altered the EPG to bunch the BBC, ITV and CH4 channels together.

It costs too much to do that - the BBC already is forking out FAR too much to be numbers one and two in the listings...

I only saw one episode - I think the second. Maybe that didn't give me opportunity for the show to grow on me. So, bearing that in mind, my rating of the show is very low. The narrative was confusing and the characters were the tried and tested cardboard cut-outs I have come to detest on contemporary "comedy" drama; the worse example being the 'humerous' Eastern European hitman. As funny as a kick in the bollocks.
