In order for me to be attracted to a documentary, the presenter must know his or her subject. I'm not talking of narrators here, but of the people actually filmed discussing a subject There have been several presenters of subjects that may be ok in their field of entertainment who have decided to present factual documentaries.Vic Reeves, Rik Mayall, Johnny Lydon Roger Daltry, Jeremy Clarkson, etc. may have a vague interest in the subject. Whereas Simon Sharma , Dan Cruickshank Adam Hart Davies Richard attenborough. David Starkey Lucinda Lampton. etc. live and breath their subjects.The presenter Carol Vorderman has lost all credibility after endorsing those loan adverts advising poor unfortunates to secure their homes against borrowings with horrendus interest rates.What people will do for money.
