A nice one last night. Gabrielle, won only £1000,but when she told Noel it was for charity, the banker doubled it - a one off.

I've given up watching it now, I think Noel tries too hard to promote the show all the time which is a bit tedious, it's a bit like having an lazy, idle, annoying brother-in-law whose got involved with some pyramid selling scam and he's trying to convince you that it's a fantastic business opportunity!

The predictable cliffhanger into the ad breaks I suppose are necessary but very corny, and changing the box colours when it's St Patrick's Day (are we all Irish in England now?), and where does the link between yellow boxes and Easter come from? I've noticed that he often wears a jacket on the Saturday night episode as if trying to to elevate its status, and I think he thinks that by over promoting it to death it will one day get on ITV in a prime time Saturday night slot with a million pounds jackpot.

It was good fun and different for a while, but I don't think it'll stand the test of time!

" apart for the obvious financial rewards it must be good for Noel to be in a programme where he can open a box without a member of the public falling 100 foot to their death.."

I Like to answer "know wah a mean" with a simple no and then wait....they usually look at you dumbfounded, i also hate people who end a sentence with "SO"

Going now SO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The one that gets away is always the biggest but not always the best !!

Default Deal or no Deal

I had always changed channels when this was on before, but maybe I should watch it, especially the endings. It was on while I stopped for a cup of tea and there wasn't much else on after the end of The Way Ahead so I watched the end of Noel's new house party for a while.

There was a chap on today who had 3 low numbers and 2 high numbers left.
He was made an offer of £5,000 but refused it.
The first box he opened was the £100, the highest of the low numbers.
The next box he opened was £15,000, the highest of the high numbers.
That just left him with boxes containing £1, £15 and £10,000
He had one more box to open in this round, tension builds ...
Would he go home with £10,000 or just £1 (or maybe 15 quid)?
... he opens the box ...

It contained the £10,000
He was left with just £1 or £15

Oh, how I laughed

The only reason for watching it in my opinion. To see the really, really greedy go home with a pittance.

The false camaraderie is pathetic and the 'you deserve a huge offer' mentality really grates on me. Deserve a big offer for just standing there?!!!

Chav TV in the extreme.

Be gentle... my wife loves the show and I love her

My wife otherwise often displays good taste (even though she married me)... we all have our guilty sins

It is a show I used to watch because It's on when I come home and sit down with a cuppa. But I just cannot stand that Noel Bloody edmonds I find him annoying and obnoxious (can anybody think of a word to sum him up ) and when he flirts with a pretty girl he just turns into a dirty old man

I May be getting older ,but I refuse to grow up

I just think sometimes he Is an out and out perv, and I'm sorry Aaryk but I don't think he's friendly he's condescending and downright rude at times ,especially to the more elderly contestants . Am I alone in my dislike of noel edmonds ? maybe I'm wrong but he has a massive ego for a little man There's nothing wrong with flirting or admiring a pretty face, but there is a line which IMHO he crosses, I wonder how he comes over to the female audience
