Not being interested in sport,A Question Of Sporthas not been a favourite programme of mine until Sue Barker took over as "The Boss". Likewise the contestants on the programme,I have a lot of respect for her. So on BBC's Sports Personality of The Yearshe quipped about Gavin Henson to Welsh Rugby Coach Mike Ruddock "Obviously, you will be hoping to successfully defend the Six Nations Championship with your star player,Gavin Henson -as long as you can keep him out of church". So Gavin was offended as was Miss Church and Miss barker has had to apologise - have these two had a sense of humour bypass. He is a rugby player who should be used to that kind of humour and Miss Church's sexual side has been well exploited in the press through former lovers and Sue Barker has apologised profusely over her remarks.
If Henson (who I assume won't go out to play unless he is not good looking enough) and Charlotte (who would make me go into church a lot more ) can't take the heat...

I see that Charlotte Church was in another UK Sunday newspaper sexpose yesterday.
I don't know what the detail's are but she can certainly find way's to lower her image.
At the same time, the outspoken Gavin Henson was having a shocker playing for the Osprey's in the Henniken Cup.
He missed important penalties that cost his team the game and was involved in more foul-play. He was seen kicking out at opposing player's out of the ref's sight.
So really, the joke IS on both of them.
Maybe they deserve each other.

Dave.

On similar lines I see Clarkson is also in the soup for proposing how BMW should make a quintessentially German Mini.... with indicators that pop up ala a Nazi salute.

Yes, but Jeremy Clarkson is very possibly the biggest **** on British television. If it was possible for a human being to exhibit the characteristics of a national newspaper, Clarkson would be The Daily Mail.

I'd think of them [if I could be bothered to waste the time] as the Welsh equivalent of Posh and Becks - but without the class

Clarkson looks like the cartoon character Brassneck, wearing a Leo Sayer wig and a beer gut supplied by the bigot character in Love Thy Neighbour! The only people I know who like Clarkson are the type of people everybody else detests, the ones with blue indicator lenses on their cars, ones who do 50 mph in a 30 zone near a primary school, and spend more money on car magazines than they do on personal hygene products, whose idea of great sex is to deliberately get pins and needles in their hand before having a w*** so they can pretend that Angelina Jolie is doing it, the ones who wear shirts outside their trousers in a pathetic and fruitless attempt to disguise their fat bellies hanging out, the type whose girlfriends drive VW Polos with neon ultra violet lights underneath, and stick on cup holders big enough for a KFC Family Sized Bucket! You know the type!

I only follow local teams for partisan sake. Although I am not interested in sport,I recogonise other people's interest in the game of football (or indeed any sport) and will respect them. Having been born in Hartlepool,I observe with some interest their fortunes, hoping they do well. I hope one day Hartlepool will collect silver;as they are MY local Premiership team,I hope Middlesbrough get to the FA Cup Final and win;if Sunderland,or Newcastle or Darlington are on the same trail,if not opposite the Boro,I hope they do too.
I am not anti-sport - my interest in it isn't paramount, but my respect in other's peoples' interest is.

I see that Clarkson is now picking on the League against Cruel Sports.
He has advised all his 'Sun' readers to send empty envelopes to that organisation's Freepost address.I don't quite understand how that squares with the paper's current anti-animal cruelty campaign, but no doubt it bolsters his fearless 'anti-PC' libertarianism reputation, and satisfies his rampant. gloating machismo.
Small dick syndrome, methinks.

Small dick, big c***! But then again, I'm one of the biggest hypocritical, whinging, self-opinionated tossers on the planet so I'd better be careful what I say, but at least you don't have to pay to read my unqualified rants! Probably in a similar way to their campaign against domestic violence - just before their editor beat up her other half, TV "tough guy" Ross Kemp.
