What a gem of a programme. Bill Nighy, when you think he can do no better....does. Not so sure about the ending, (disappeared???), but please does anyone know the soundtrack music?

Truth be told Rennie I was a bit unsure of this one. I enjoyed it but perhaps it is my expectation which is too demanding.

As with Richard Curtis's London, It appears that for his last two films we have Stephen Poliakoff's London. Perhaps they would have been better as a three part series. The Lost Prince and Shooting the Past for me were far better. I know Bill Nighy can't go wrong at them moment but last night he seemed 'Bill Nighy doing Bill Nighy'

Came across this for the music though. the song Emily Blunt sang so well was beautiful

soundtrack

Must admit, the more I see of Stephen Poliakoff, the less I like him. Overwrought is the word which springs to mind, and he had that in spades last night.

As for Bill Nighy - one trick pony.

But hey, that's the beauty of this forum - two polarised opinions!

But Poliakoff's work is never less than interesting, I feel, and it seems streets ahead of much else on the box.

Bill Nighy? So laid back he was practically asleep

I agree, the ending was a bit of a cop out - and some of it was rather twee - for example tne guinea pig bit!

Having said all that, I was glued to the screen for the whole thing
