Does anyone else find this hilarious?
It's a fly-on-the-wall documentary about 'Coventry's third largest double-glazing manufacturer',and features the proprietors and staff in all their glorious ineptitude.
The bosses,Ann and John, are wonderfully profane, and apart from all the unconscious humour they generate, are a pair of Brummie drolls who have a nice line in sly, gallows humour.
The office staff are totally cynical and unmotivated, and their business consultant is being paid £2,500 to trot out the occasional platitude and truism.
The high spot for me so far,was in the first episode when they hired one chap, 'because he's the only one who responded to the advert, and he's no worse than anyone else we've already got'.Sounds like the sort of faint praise that Homer Simpson would attract.

I love the timing of it, the juxtaposition of "The Armstrongs" and "The Apprentice". The candidates who want to be and husband and wife who have to all appearances gone out and done it.

I sometimes find myself feeling uneasy about laughing at it, but hey, any publicity is good publicity.

U fit

As for the only candidate who turned up, as one of the staff pointed out "he could've ironed his shirt" and what is OTHELLO?

Being serious for a moment though. The sales force aren't selling and those who produce the goods are left to carry the can for white collar laziness, lack of training and apathy. Hasn't it always been the way with British industry.

regards
