Watched Man in a Suitcase last night and Jerold Wells was in it. So little appears to have been written about this player who appeared in numerous 50s & 60s tv shows and films.Whenever they wanted a "Heavy"or a character who looked like someone you would'nt mess with, old Jerold was the man. He worked with the best in the business including the magnificent Eric Sykes so there's still people out there that could fill in the gaps so to speak .It is so sad that Jerold and numerous others of his kind are almost forgotten with little or no epitaph.Wheras the non -entities polluting our tv screens every night with foul language and disgusting antics have their pathetic lives well documented for all time....... Must be gettin old!

Sadly, as Tone says, this is the way with many of our featured players ; those stalwarts on whom you could always rely to REALLY support the cast. These days people only seem to be concerned with things of recent memory - as is evidenced by all those banal 'Top 100 of...' shows which crop up all too regularly on CH4 and Five.

No sense of history, that's the trouble !

It's always nice when somebody on the board prompts a memory and starts a thread about an actor/crew person of whom you always thought you were the only one who remembered them.
