Thought he was a lot older than that to be honest.

Right, off for marmalade sandwiches.

Paddington Bear was HUGE, for such a small bear, in the seventies.

I remember visiting the UK in 1972 and having to purchase four Paddington Bear's, dressed in raincoat and boots, for friends and relatives in Australia.
They were selling in the stores like hot cakes.
I also purchased a Paddington Bear bedcover and T-shirt for myself.

Its difficult to pick my favourite out of Rupert and Paddington.
I couldn't bear to pick one ahead of the other.

Dave.

The ???

Paddington has a lot to answer for...the soft toy manufacturer who had a monopoly on those teddy bears in macs and wellies was Jeremy Clarkson's mother, sent him to a minor public school on the proceeds...whereupon he gets his condescending knowall attitude ...

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

I well remember Paddington's 21st being announced on the radio as it was the day Master FELL was born.

He seems to have 3!

The official website claims 25th June and 25th December but it was certainly his claimed 21st on 26/9/79.
