Smile Waking the Dead

Just a quirk but did anyone watch "Waking the Dead" last night? (Sunday) At the beginning there was a scene of London and a caption read "London 1992". In the distance you could see the Millenium wheel. Forgive me but was that not erected until 2000?

I hadn't seen it,but obviously an editing error. TV ariels were seen on the roof tops of houses in the Victorian based film The Wrong Box.

The latest offering was probably one of the worst, gratutious violence, drug abuse, depressive maniacs, screaming and shouting, who writes this stuff?

Usually it's written by people who have never experienced or researched any of the items on your list but have watched a couple of episodes of The Bill and a few American street gang films!

Hear, hear, Jim!! Moving the camera at a dizzing pace seems the latest "in" technique of filming scenes to give them that extra feel of realism of "you are there." Unless it's done very well, I find it distracting, not to mention crossed eyes. Worse, it takes away from focusing on an actor's face, his eyes and expression which in fine actors is often where the real action is.

All the best,

Barbara

Even if they kept the cameras still there'd be no danger of that in this programme then!
