Does anybody know - or hazard a guess - why this pretty abysmal outing for Dame Edna has come to an abrupt end? Until a week ago it was being billed as a seven-part series, but Saturday's episode was labelled 6/6 and did not get the usual Monday repeat. Personally I found it a tired, wretched affair. But long live Sandy Stone (passim).

Ep 7 is a 'special' (already in the can) to be broadcast in June.

Thanks for that info DB7. I wonder how 'special' it will be.

Apparently a 50th Anniversary special (tho I thought this was last year). No idea who the guests are but it was filmed as part of the recent series.

Very disappointed with this series, especially the poor material for my role model Dr. Sir Leslie Colin Patterson.

What I like about Edna is she never gets any older. She spoke very highly of Barry Humphries and his performance in THE GETTING OF WISDOM which is one of my favourite Australian films. At least she can handle a chat show and can still get some decent guests and it does come over as fun - with the format varied over the years (Neighbourhood Watch, Expericene etc.)

Will look out for the special.
