Sid James - TV Shows

Recently I have been watching Bless This House, George & The Dragon and Two In Clover - all starring the late great Sidney James.



Are there any other TV shows (not films) that he starred in that I should keep an eye out for?

My favourite Sid show is Citizen James - particularly with Bill Kerr as Sid's foil and Liz Fraser as his long-suffering girlfriend. They have not been commercially released (a great shame), and the episodes I have get repeated viewings!

Hancock's Half Hour - Fantastic stuff!



I love the episode "Football Pools" where Hancock needs only one more draw on his coupon to win. He and Sid go to the match to encourage each side equally.



And how times change - the match is Chelsea versus Cheam

How on earth could I forget this classic TV series? I have no excuses as I have the first couple of DVDs of Hancocks Half Hour which I have just dug out my drawers and will be watching later this evening!

I always think that some of the best moments are when Hancock gets a line wrong and James tries to compose himself and react in a spontaneous manner.

i have some copies of the first and 1 episode of the latter, all b/w from the early 1960s and sid v much in his hancock persona geezer guise. much better than the later telly work, i think.
