I read somewhere that the face of John Tracy of Thunderbirds was modelled on

Adam Faith. Does anyone know who the rest of the cast were based on?

I always thought "The Hood" puppet looked like a combination of Lenin &

the actor Anthony Bate. Any ideas?

I thought that some of them were meant to be the Kennedy brothers (Jack, Bobby and to a lesser extent, Ted)

The Adam Faith rumour about John Tracy has been denied, though I think he's pretty dead on. Scott, on the other hand, was definitely modelled on the young Sean Connery.

The Tracy Boys set up always put me in mind of Bonanza, with Jeff having a touch of the Lorne Greene about him.

And there's Hop Sing in Bonanza and Tin-Tin in Thunderbirds

    Yes, I can see similarities

Parker was based on Noel Gallagher, or possibly the other way round.

Francis Matthews once told me that Roger Moore was convinced Captain Scarlet was based on him.

Yes Bats, Alan. It was either him or Heinz that Idol nicked from. I'm betting on Alan.

Lord Brett was Professor Mat Mattacks voice meant to be an impersonation of Walter Brennen.

I was actually watching XL5 with m'boy yesterday and I assumed the similarity of voice with WB was deliberate.

M'boy loved it ... especiall The Plant Man episode and the one with the big dinosaur-like monster.

As a boy I loved Thunderbirds and my favourite episode was Trapped In The Sky where The Fireflash had an atom bomb on board and could not land for fear of detination.

That's the first ever episode IIRC.
