Does anyone remember the fasinating series "The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes"?



I just came across it on IMDB.



This came out in the early 70s from Thames.

This came out in the early 70s from Thames.

Loved it as a kid. In the DC area, it originally showed on PBS then later on Saturday afternoons on WTOP. I wish it was available on video. For some of those characters, it was their only adaptation to the big or small screen.

Weren't there a couple of series of this? Also was it possible that one of the episodes spawned its own programme? I remember one featuring a female detective and I recall the title sequence featuring an old fashioned projector showing crime scenes from Victorian London.

hello everyone



sorry if i posted out of place , but i have been reading through the forum and its full of interesting stuff ( a real trasure )



anyways i have a TV question

when i was young i remember a TV drama called "The Invisable Horse"

this was screened i think in 1972/1973 ?



i remember it scared me silly !

basically a family living in a large manor type house were being haunted by a invisable horse apparition. appearing at night in a near by meadow and hooves

were heard along the long coridoors !



i am sure the specail effects would look very dated now. they had some kind of specalist try to excercise the spirit , i think it turned out to be a kind of hoax ?



but i cannot find anything on google/ yahoo searches etc.

(maybe its too lame for anyone to recall ? )
