Default Scrapheap Scrapped?

I don't watch much tv,unless it's a film, but one thing i've always loved was Scrapheap Challenge. So what's happened to it?One week it was on,the next gone! The series never had a finale or did i miss something?I thought it had been bumped for a week or two but months later,NOTHING!
Does anyone know what's going on?

Scrapheap Challenge hasn't been run since 2004. It evolved into Scrappy Races which ran for a series or two from 2004. But they haven't done any new shows for some time.

It surfaces every now and then on some of the cable/satellite channels

I've must've been in a parrallel universe for two years, then, because it was on sunday evenings at 6.40 and i'm sure they weren't repeats.I've a pretty poor memory but even i can't lose two years, not without serious alcohol abuse(ah,those were the days).
Don't tell me i need MORE therapy, just when things were looking up!

But the Channel 4 page about the programme talks about "a new test of bodging ingenuity is only a heartbeat away with the dastardly new series of Scrappy Races starting in early 2005!"

If they are hoping to have a new series in 2005 then I think that saying it ended in 2004 is quite close to being accurate

It is hard to tell which is a new show and which is a repeat, but they're all enjoyable.

Knobbykins (love the name) is quite right. I too am a regular watcher of this programme when it quite suddenly dropped off the radar without a trace.

But were they new programmes or repeats?
Was it Scrapheap Challenge or Scrappy Races?

I see from the tv listings that Scrappy is back tomorrow evening...but whether it's the end of the last series or the start of a new one,i couldn't say!

Yes, at 18:45 on Channel 4 and then at 18:30 for the next couple of weeks after that.

Tomorrow's programme is the first of the semi-finals so I doubt it's a new series. DigiGuide says they're "back after a summer break"

It's also being shown on More4 & Discovery Science, but they're almost certainly older series

Yes if you had asked me I would have said it was on every week on one of the channel 4's various sub channels.

"Seya next time!"
