Yes certainly will be if the trailer on youtube is anything to go by.....
I watched it last night, how gory? I'm just glad that medical treatment's have changed since then.
I didn`t like it last time it was on but I did think the one just shown was very good!
xx
have they? my hospital treats me with mercury for insomnia!!Originally Posted by Matron Whippy

i felt the last series lost its way a little bit halfway through but give me an edwardian medical drama over its modern day compatriot anyday!!Originally Posted by faginsgirl
has anyone noticed the amount of close-ups lydia leonard gets in this series? (not complaining mind!)
the BBC are to release a compilation of the casualty 1906,1907 and 1909 series

'Mandrake'
by Richard Eden:
It has been one of BBC1's most popular dramas, regularly attracting more then three million viewers, but CASUALTY 1909 has been axed, to the fury of its star, Cherie Lunghi.
"The BBC have suddenly decided that period drama is not their thing," the 57-year-old actress told Mandrake at the launch of Chris Rogers's book UNDERCOVER at the Mayfair Hotel in London. "It was doing very well, but they've decided not to do any more."
The hospital drama was first aired in 2006 and is said to have appealed particularly to older viewers, who feel increasingly neglected. "There isn't much money around and drama is expensive, and reality TV is cheaper," said the former contestant on STRICTLY COME DANCING.
"I've been trying to get my own project (commissioned) that I've created with two writers....It's set in the Sixties, but they label it 'period', even though we have AN EDUCATION and A SINGLE MAN......The Sixties is a very cool period, but for some reason they think it's period, and it's difficult to get anyone interested. It's partly autobiographical. It's about my childhood."
She added: The nature of this business is that sometimes the time isn't just right. One has to be patient. I've got another idea, which is actually a fully written script about a female politician, and no one is interested in that."
I am so disappointed to hear this! We just finished watching the Casualty 1900's set this week and enjoyed it tremendously. There simply isn't anything of this quality on American television, and it sounds like the BBC is not going to continue making this sort of period piece.
I had searched for any info concerning a continuation, so I am at least glad to know this information, even though the news is bad.
So who`s fault`s THAT?Originally Posted by Maurice

maybe there wasnt mush more mileage in it.
It wasn't the best was it, 3 million is not great when you consider the cost, look how marple and poirot do in comparison for example/
Was this like modern Casualty? Nice family smiling heading off for a picnic only to be involved in a hideous multi-horse and trap pile-up?![]()
hehe, imagine Lark Rise to Candleford meets Silent Witness :-) Saffy with her head caught in a carriage etcOriginally Posted by Harbottle
