Just flicking through the schedules for next week (25- Jul) I noticed Call Me Madam doing the rounds on Film 4. Ethel Merman does not get enough appreciation for her great singing talent, any young ones on this forum and has not heard a show number belted out by Ethel should make a point and see her perform.

Also Arsenal Stadium Mystery on Wednesday (1939) for football fans and now rather quaint police crime story.

Hammer fans have the Hounds of the Baskervilles.

The Hound Of The Baskervilles (1959) is certainly well worth recording. Lots of familiar faces here, Peter Cushing as Holmes, Andre Morell as Watson and Christopher Lee as Sir Henry Baskerville. Others include Miles Malleson and Francis De Wolff. Directed by Terence Fisher, another Hammer regular.

Just watched the recording. Sherlock Holmes plus ham more ham and hammered by Hammer. Film stuck in the 70's though strangely produced in 1959.
