chronicles-could it be this?
"Chronicle" (1966)
Hi all, I am wondering if anyone can help. I was reminiscing with friends last weekend about long forgotten TV shows and we vaguely recalled a wonderful little series about historical mysteries presented by Magnus Magnusson. We could even recall snatches of the theme tune (including the sung words of this thread's title), but no one could be sure of the actual name of the series, nor anything of the content or episodes beyond the very vaguest of memories. I'm guessing it was from around 1972 or thereabouts? Anyone shed any light? Thanks in anticipation.

I remember that theme too, and the fascinating historical series – it was called Unsolved Mysteries BBC TV 1974 superbly written and presented by Magnus Magnusson![]()
Thank you all for the feedback, I do think Mrs Peel has got it...I seem to recall a short series of half hour programmes pitched at a teenage level audience, rather than the more involved hour long religious themed "Chronicles" which were spread intermittently over several years.
Having said that, the 1971 "Chronicles" episode rings a bell.
