name='Torquemada']I like Pointless, but there is way too much waffle between wounds. But if ever there was a completely pointless 'quiz' show it has to be Deal Or No Deal.

Can anyone who watches and enjoys Deal or No Deal explain to me if they really believe that any kind of 'strategy' is actually involved in the random selection of an empty box from among other empty boxes. Surely it is pure guesswork with absoutely no 'skill' involved at all.

I think it's supposed to be connected with Noel Edmonds' Cosmic Ordering nonsense. That's why there's a lot of writing targets/numbers down on bits of paper or in a book, or whatever it is - I don't watch it so I wouldn't know. Who's Noel Edmunds?

name='Timmy_Lea']This is the most appropriately named TV show ever!!

    XWhat a load of rubbish!

You missed out 'in my opinion' where the X is marked.

The skills is in being to avoid the temptation to tw@t the annoying gimp with the beard. Personally I think the whole thing is a scathing indictment of the state of the nation's intelligence.

name='Timmy_Lea']The Pointless sidekick is Richard Osman, Creative Director of Endemol UK.

So pleased to see Jeffrey Fourmile get some work in at last!

I do enjoy Pointless but I keep expecting Alexander Armstrong to turn to his intercom and hiss 'Kill them'

I saw this for the first time the other day. I thought it was ok, definately not as bad as deal or no deal, how that show is still on our screens I`ll never know, the contstants get on my wick, always eccentric and walking around with thier hands over thier mouths like they`ve just been told they have two weeks to live!

In the first series Armstrong looked like a deer caught in a cars headlights but is much more confident and accomplished in this series. It's quite an interesting format and the questions are by no means easy, well not for me anyway. It certainly could be tightened up and reduced to about 30 Minutes but it does beat Deal or No Deal hands down.

What a mindless load of drivel that programme is hosted by the Beebs former resident moron, Noel Edmonds. How this series has gone on for so long is completely beyond me unless, of course, the phone in part is a nice little earner!

We don't have "Pointless" here, but we always copy other countries' ideas, so I guess we'll get it eventually.

I watched this for a while when we first got it here. What always exasperated me (among other things) was the compere saying:

    "Now choose very carefully....."

Well I watched it for the final time the other day when a very thick but horribly smug pair won £12K off the back of having very chavvy categories laid out on a plate for them. I should know better than watch BBC quiz shows, or any quiz shows for that matter and that's the last time I'll be watching this offering.

Just watched yesterday's episode and one question was 'Name a Hitchcock film with a one-word title'. Amazingly there was only one pointless answer

I had a go with Frenzy - just one person guessed that - surprised only one got Rope. Watch it every day - it is very addictive. Want to go on show but no one else will go on with me
