Thumbs up Answered: Someone must know!

Hi everyone, my first time here, looks interesting.

My question which i'm sure someone will know the answer to (i hope)
I remember a 1950's B&W thriller which was about a gang robbing a security van (old bedford i think) Opening secne was one of the gang members raising a manhole cover in the street, can't remember much more or who acted in it but would really like to get a copy as i really think this period was when some of the best british thrillers were produced. thanks in advance.

Sounds like The League of Gentlemen to me, too. A great film!

Yes, Jack Hawkins, dressed in a tuxedo, climbs elegantly out of a manhole in the opening scene. An old Bedford was the vehicle used to deliver the money to the bank.

Definitely LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN
