I remember a play called "The Paradise Run" about a soldier in NI having a breakdown; I don't remember a skeleton, but it was a very downbeat play, so there may have been a shock bit in it. Just thought I'd mention it. It's on imdb...

my recollections of it are vague but i'm sure there was nightmare sequences where a nurse was pushing a bed with a very ill looking soldier in it and in one scene i'm sure he was a skeleton .
