Can't remember the name of this Aussie film. I think it was made in the seventies and is about a couple who go on holiday to a beach and do bad things to the environment and wildlife.
I know it's a strange film - but one with a message, and has a bit of a cult following.
Keep meaning to find out if it's available on dvd...

Must admit that I didn't know that there had been a remake. The reviews for it on Amazon are not on the whole positive as the main characters are not likable, which is how I remember the original film to be honest. How important is it to like the characters in a film ? after all we don't like everyone we meet in real life, do we?
Thanks all - yes The Long Weekend![]()
Starring my favourite Australian actor, John Hargreaves; an excellent actor, who died tragically young.....
and Briony Behets, a very popular actress here in the 1970s, still working although I haven't seen her myself for along time.
Fans of "Prisoner" will recall her as Susan Rice.
(BTW it's Long Weekend, not The Long Weekend.)
