What film?

Hi,
I saw this when i was a kid about 20 years ago on TV and would love to know the name so i could watch it again. It wasn't that good maybe a TV film.

A young woman holidays on her own in the countryside.
She stays in a guest house.
One night a man looks in her door, it freaks her out.
In the morniong the house keeper asked how she slept and said he hoped to see her agai.
She muttered something along the lines of 'Not bloody likely" to herself.

I don't recall it very well.
then she goes in search of this man.
Finds someone who looks like him, starts a locve affair with him.
Then she takes him back to the same guest house with her,
she tries to recreate the original night.
She even cracked his glasses, so he looked just like the man from before.
Then she instructed him to open the door and look in.
He did this.
It was just like the first time.
He went.
She screamed no..., and never saw him again.

I know this film. It stars Amanda Redman. I looked it up on IMDB and found that she starred in Lorelei but gave no synopsis of it so you are probably right. Well done.

I remember seeing this ,it was quite spooky, almost like a ghost story and it had the very talented Michael Maloney in it as the main character.
