I'm beginning to think I imagined this as no one I know remembers it.It was a one-off British docudrama(I think) which involved an airliner crashing into houses(Gatwick,Luton maybe) and the consequences caused by the spreading fire ,difficulties in reaching crash site etc.May have been Ch4.
    Anyone remember it?

    I do remember this,

It had narration and it was part of a series, they did about six episodes, one of which was on the Fire in Kings Cross, I believe it was actually Lockerbie that was the subject matter, it felt very much like a film and had a high production look, but I think it was only an hour long.

Nope,it definitely wasn't about Lockerbie,as I remember it the airliner in question overshoots it's landing rather than terrorist activity. It may have been inspired by the regular inter service excercises held to plan for just such eventuality..Thanks DB7 and Jaycad for your suggestion.I've got hold of a recording of The Day Britain Stopped but haven't had time to watch it yet.I'll get back to you.
