I was chatting with my father recently who told me about some filming that was done in my home town in NW England.
He missed the actual shoot but arrived to see them clearing away the mass of lights and cables. Like all these things, nobody knew it was happening.

He was told that the scene involved a child walking past an open shop window who grabs a pie or bun and makes a run for it. The shop used was actually a chip shop but it was chosen for the open serving windows at the front.

I posted the description on the town forum and another member remembers seeing the film at the cinema.

From the location I suspect it might have been made by a local Manchester studio rather than one of the London ones.

Any ideas ? I'd love to see this, even if it is a brief scene.
