I didn't think Hywel Bennett was in Deadly Strangers. Wasn't that Hayley Mills and Simon Ward? Bennett and Mills were in Twisted Nerve and Endless Night together. Bennett was a psychopath in both of those IIRC.

It's a fantastic film, especially for its great early 70s yellow-tintedness: although the quality of the print I got may have something to do with that.
One of those half-remembered lost classics that makes you wish you could jump in a time machine. And so obviously written as a vehicle for Hywel Bennett, even though he wasn't in it. Simon Ward does a great job though- it just would have been nice to see the duo complete their trilogy of terror after 'Twisted Nerve' and 'Endless Night'. Great days. |

'Deadly Strangers' (the greatest British film ever made!) did get an official DVD release in Spain. Imagine my excitement when it finally arrived, only to be quashed with the disappointment that it was dubbed in Spanish with the English soundtrack completely removed!
