Trying to find the name of a 70's horror film with black dog

I looked into that and it's not that one. Good suggestion though.
The more and more I look into it, 'Devil Dog - Hound from Hell' does seem to match everything I remember. I just thought the dog was black in the film I saw but maybe it was one of those grainy 70's films which made an alsatian look like a doberman!

Has anyone seen Devil Dog?

Yup, I saw it myself but can barely remember it - I do recall that the demon dog grows to a huge size at one point, and appears to sprout bat wings. Unless, of course, memory is playing tricks.

Agreed, that episode was memorable TV, real nailbiting tension - would love to see it again.
