Unhappy Answered: Life Is a Circus (1960) *solved*

There was a film i saw on TV many years ago (70,s) that starred among others

Michael holiday. I remember there was a scene with a topless female dancer.

Very racy indeed for its time which must have been late 50,s early 60,s when

first released.

Any ideas out there? Or am i really going crazy??

Though he did provide the songs for Gerry Anderson's Four Feather Falls, a series often noted for its total lack of topless female dancers.

Four Feather Falls theme and other Holliday (double 'l') tracks plus a TV clip are available by searching his name on YouTube

The fact that it's a U suggests a probably paucity of toplessness.

Default Life Is A Circus - Michael Holliday

Use the SEARCH facility at the top of this page and enter 'Life Is A Circus' - this will take you to another page on BritMovies with an entry for the film halfway down. It starred the Crazy Gang apparently and it features a scene with the "Dance of the Seven Veils" in which the actress (Maureen Moore) ends up 'quite nude apart from a G-string' to quote the author. The film had some fairly well known cast members in addition to Flanagan and Allen & Co. - Holliday and Shirley Eaton to name just two. The movie is included on the IMDb website if you want more info.

If you get the chance, there is a great book available that chronicles the life and times of Michael Holliday.
It's titled "The Man Who Would Be Bing" by Ken Crossland.

Highly recommended.

Dave.
