Default Unanswered: Medieval Comedy Film.. Sieging A Castle

Hi all

My first post here and was wondering if any1 could help me...

It's a B Movie style film. Set in Medieval England with a bunch of about 6 English soldiers sieging a castle and trying to enter by any means possible. The soldiers spoke very posh and was in no way going to give up the cause. I remember the Lord of the castle being very sarcastic to the bruised and bewildered useless bunch trying to get in.
Cant remember much more than that apart from it was extreemly funny(with a Police Academy style humour), appeared to have been made in the 1970's and I cant remember any music throughout the film.

Thanx
Jim

Many thanx for the replys people.

The Holy Grail is a no no...Although very similar to the seige part in Monty Python. The film I'm trying to find had a much longer siege and went on for 20 mins/half hour atleast. It may have gone on for the whole film but i missed the end I'm fairly sure the soldiers were all dressed in chainmail/silver armour only, and the castle was quite low in appearance. I dont recall knowing any of the actors in it too. So i reckon that leaves out 'Up the Chastity Belt' although I havent seen this film and will look into it more.

Robin and Marian 1976 ? Am sure it isnt this one but thanx for trying and will give it a watch if i get the chance

Oh btw. The film was on late night Scottish T.V between 1995-1997
Now THAT narrows it down ! lol

I think there's a siege in The Spaceman and King Arthur but I've only seen about 4 minutes of the film so I can't tell you how long it goes on. But you'd probably have recognised the Brits in it.
