Default do you know what this is

I am trying to find the title of something I watched in the ealy 1990`s.A girl is going out with somebody who is obsessed with his ex girlfriend and is always saying he wants to see her again and so she has plastic surgery to make her look like the other girl. The end is good but I don`t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn`t seen it.It may have been something that was on every week with a different story.

This springs to mind although it was earlier. (1986)

Was it a film or a tv series you saw? And was it contemporary? Sound like it could have been a Tale of the Unexpected but it also has much the same plot as A Stolen Face.

It sounds very much like Stolen Face -- if it was a b&w film from the 40s-50s, this would be it. You might as well give away the ending, it'll help people guess what film it is!

At the end she pretended to be the ex and he said"I have been waiting to find you for so long so I can kill you for leaving me"and he strangled her.
