Default Short film about a jogging man

Sorry not a Brit film but I really like to know what it is.

I saw a short film at the cinema about 25 years ago here in the UK and I have been trying to identify it ever since.

It told the story of a man's life through his love of jogging. He is heard as a voice over and there is no dialogue. Pretty sure there were scenes of Central Park.

It was really memorable and moving and tonnes better than the main feature !

Any ideas you folk ?

Ah Yes, the Soviet Union. All them wheatfields and ballet in the evenings

Could this have been the Jim Fixx documentary

Jim Fixx on Running (1980)

Thanks. I had a look but it wasn't that. This film was not a documentary.

This is what happens when you go into the flicks a few minutes late.

I seem to remember something like that which had Dustin Hoffman and Laurence Olivier in it. I think it was called 'The Dentist' or something like that

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Marathon Man
"Is it safe?... Is it safe?"

There was a bit more than jogging in that one

There is a film called "The Loneliness of the long distance runner" with Tom Courtnay, but it was a 60's film.

And it's a full length film, not a short
