Default What on earth is this? (clip included)

Right chaps and chapettes, it isn't very often that someone posts no plot, no description and no production year, but I've gone one better. I have myself a clip of the unidentified drama. Does anyone know what it may be? It looks very english, so I'm assuming someone on these boards will know what it is. It could of course be a mash up of many films, but I doubt it. The footage kicks in at 54 seconds through the clip. Whatever it is, it looks wonderful.

Good luck!

Unsure, but what a lovely little film. Ah, if only we could go back to those dreamy days.
Have you contacted the record distributor, they may help?
Thanks.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR...YOU MAY GET IT!

Yes, I contacted someone at the website, but I'm not hopeful of a reply. I'm hoping the footage is from a film, but I've a feeling they are just random 'Look at Life' sort of clips.

I'll second that. Great little piece of film.

There is also another I remember seeing a while ago, although slightly more contemporary, entitled 'Who killed brown owl?' set to a Vaughan Williams piece.
I have it somewhere on at the end of a video tape. Will I ever find it again?

The first bit definitely looks like the Broads but I am not so sure that all of it is.

The Youtuber who uploaded these vids, A60stock, says in his profile that he is the founder of Beaulah, and that the tracks have been 'specially visualised for Youtube'.
With a bit of luck he should know the origin.

Beulah have released a number of videos of British transport Films and I would guess this is footage from one of those (the train passing in the background is a giveaway - BTF would often slip in a distant train shot for their 'travelogue' type features). At a guess I would say 'The Heart of England'?

I agree, it is almost certainly from a 1950s British Transport Films short subject. It's very typical of their product.
