Unanswered: know this play?

I vaguely recall watching a TV play in the early 60's. It concerned a couple

staying as guests at a house . The host was a smooth voiced charming man

who was intriguing because he wore a mask.

At the end of the play, after much beseeching from the guests he

removes the mask & shows a badly disfigured face. I think it could have been

an Armchair Theatre production. Anyone know it??
