Hi,

Im trying to trace the name of a film that i watched a few years ago about 2003ish. The film was set in birmingham and was based on true events that happend sometime in the 70's or 80's. it was about sexual abuse in a childrens home. i can remeber some of the plot and i request some help.

A young boy was put into care by his mother because she couldn't cope with him or she was ill. in care he was sexually abused by members of staff. he introduced his friends to the members of staff in this childrens home. in the end of the film he attacked his mother and the head in charge of the home was arrested..

The film in question I think was made for TV,it's either a BBC film or Channel 4.
Steven Macintosh plays a very mixed up young man ,who's life is out of control
because of the abuse he endured as a young boy.Very moving performance by
Steven Macintosh.Hope this helps.

after more indepth research i have found it WAS the bbc that filmed this and was only made for TV, a few people have requested this tv film from the bbc but to no avail. they simply said there is not a high enough demand for release.

Surley there must be a copy available somewhere, why make something then just hide it away!
