Default Railway lines

All I can recall is a couple walking on railway tracks off into the distance as the tracks converge, then the closing titles begin.

I remember being fascinated as they got smaller and smaller. Can't recall a thing about the movie except enjoying it.

Could it be the end of the Chaplin film "Modern Times" ?

(I've only seen it once, so I could be completely wrong !)

Although I don't remember anything else, it was far too recent for Chaplin.

I probably saw it on telly late 90s/early 00s and it wasn't that old.

It wasn't Two For the Road was it? Albert Finney and Audrey Hepburn.
