Hello everyone

I've been thinking about this programme for years - it was a one-off BBC production I think, centering around the Lord Chancellor. Either he or the Prime Minister were the subject of an assassination attempt...the overall story was of the corruption possible with the position of Lord Chancellor, not much to go on but does it trigger something with anyone? Also I remember a scene where a politician paid a thug to kill his mistress - she was stabbed in the shower - he told the thug that she was blackmailing him which of course she wasn't. I have a feeling the shower scene may have been from something else though! Any help appreciated, thanks.
